Samuel Read is a British composer, orchestrator, and conductor for Film and Television. Having studied for a BA in Music at Durham University, he is now studying for an MA in Composing for Film and Television at the National Film and Television School under BAFTA nominated composer John Keane and Oscar winning composer Dario Marianelli.

He has worked as a composer and orchestrator on feature films, documentaries, animation and video games, producing an extensive and diverse output including scores he has conducted and recorded at AIR Studios in London. Samuel is currently working as an assistant to composer Ben Foster on Television productions including ITV’s Ridley and BBC’s Happy Valley and as orchestrator for composer Lorne Balfe on film productions including Warner Bros. Black Adam.
